Smoothies and juices are such a great way to start the day and get an extra boost of fresh vegetables into your diet! This healthy spring smoothie has vitamin rich spinach, cleansing and detoxificating ginger, flaxseed to aid digestion and for a boost of omega-3 fatty acids, and avocado, which is not only high in vitamins but also adds a lovely creamy texture.  It isn’t very sweet but you can adjust the sweetness by adding more dates or swapping the water for apple juice.

Instructions
  1. Remove the skin from the ginger and grate then simply blend all the ingredients until smooth (I use a nutribullet, but a hand blender is fine).
